"Creativity is inventing, experimenting, growing, taking risks, breaking rules, making mistakes, and having fun.” – Mary Lou Cook (1932-2016)

Craft. Connect. Thrive.

Women's Circle

IMG_7302.jpg

I have been a crafter all my life.  As a kid I was always making something, and as an adult I had a career in the arts as a set builder for film and television.  My favourite crafts  are painting, sewing, quilting  and Sashiko stitching. I also love helping women, so when I thought about hosting a women's circle it occured to me that crafting and personal development are the perfect marriage for a fantastic event.

Here's why this works so well -

1. Creativity Unlocks Conversation

Crafting is naturally meditative and relaxing,  and can lower barriers, making it easier for women to open up and share. As hands are busy, hearts often follow.

2. Community & Connection

An informal, creative setting feels safe and welcoming. Women  bond over shared projects and stories, sharing skills, helping each other in subtle but powerful ways,  building a supportive network.

3. Relaxed Creativity
Blending gentle coaching with hands-on crafting creates a calming, enjoyable atmosphere. As we work on our projects, we can unwind, be present, and simply enjoy the process-making space for authentic conversation and connection without pressure or expectation.

If this sounds like you please join a monthly women’s circle where creativity meets connection meets personal growth. Bring your favorite craft project, sewing, knitting, or anything you love, and settle in for an evening of inspiration, gentle coaching, and supportive sisterhood.

Our Purpose

The purpose of our women’s circle is to create a welcoming, heart-centered space where women can come together to craft, connect, and grow. Rooted in a love for sewing, decorative stitching, sketching, , and all forms of creative expression, this group is designed for women who seek both creative inspiration and meaningful community.

As we gather each month, we’ll each bring our own craft projects-whether it’s sewing, stitching, embroidery, , or any creative pursuit that is portable, and enjoy the simple joy of making with our hands. While we create, we’ll also weave in supportive coaching conversations, gentle personal growth prompts, and opportunities to share our stories in a nurturing, non-judgmental environment.

Our circle is about more than just crafting; it’s about helping each woman thrive-creatively, emotionally, and spiritually. Here, you’ll find encouragement, inspiration, and genuine connection with like-minded women, all while exploring your own creative journey.
